Spurs: Bentley, Modric and Bent to go in summer

Harry Redknapp today hinted that he may let Luka Modric, David Bentley and Darren Bent go in the summer in a complete Spurs revamp.

But he also insisted that centre-back, and captain Ledley King is worth keeping even if he can only play 50% of the Club’s fixtures due to his long term knee injury. And praised Jamie O’Hara,22, for his attitude in Sunday’s cup final despite missing his penalty. Redknapp sang O’Hara’s praises for his performance and the strength and determination he  showed to put himself forward for a penalty, and said that O’Hara was unfortunate as Foster made a great save.

Meanwhile, Bentley put his penalty wide. I’m not having a go at Bentley for missing because the pressure could get to anyone and his confidence must already be rock bottom after losing the support of Spurs’ fans. But he hasn’t really put in a good 90 minutes since he arrived at the club and I am not sure why?

He has clearly got talent (albeit better displayed in a Blackburn shirt last season and arguably for England too) but he’s just not consistent on a regualr basis. He has to stop thinking about being the next David Beckham and concentrate on being David Bentley.

If he does it will certainly help Spurs survive relegation this season.
